As the founder of Scott’s Restaurant, it gives me great pleasure to share with you anecdotes from some of our long-term management and associates that they have passed on to me over the past few weeks.
Barbara Vernon, Dining Room Manager in Scott’s – Jack London Square, has been with our organization for more than thirty years. Barbara expressed how much she is looking forward to the return of our many loyal guests. She shared the story of the Johnstons.
Mr. and Mrs. Johnston were introduced to Scott’s when they were married in the beautiful Harborview Rooms twenty-four years ago. Since then, they have dined with us every Thursday – their weekly personal time together – with a standing reservation for 7:00 at a waterfront table. Their order seldom varies. They begin with two complimentary glasses of Scott’s Chardonnay. They then have two Caesar Salads – hers without anchovies and his with double anchovies. For an entrée, they share our famous Oysters Rockefeller. Dessert is a shared Raspberry Jack – a house favorite since 1976 – and two cups of Peerless President’s European Royale Blend coffee. Barbara has their special table ready for their next date night.
Sebastian Campos, the Evening Dining Room Manager for Scott’s – Walnut Creek, has celebrated thirty years with our company. When we reopen, he too is looking forward to greeting our many, many loyal guests.
On Table 60, he’ll see a group of ladies – Noreen, May, and Cherie – the “Golden Girls” who dine with us regularly. They are always fun-loving, classy, stylish women. Their presence brings joy to our establishment. Sebastian wants them to know, “We’re waiting for you, ladies!” They always receive complimentary valet parking as do all of our guests in Walnut Creek!
