Relationships with Purveyors

Here I am again! A little bit about our success, it starts with the relationships I have built with my prime purveyors. I have been very fortunate to have worked with these key purveyors for over 50 years. I would like to share some of their names with you.

First of all, my mentor Victor Barulich, with BiRite Foodservice Distributors, took me under his wing 56 years ago. Three generations later, I am still doing business with the Barulich family.

A&B Produce, in a partnership with BiRite Foodservice Distributors and the Barulich family, goes above and beyond with their customer service. They are available to fulfill our orders for the best and freshest produce 24/7.

People say a good seafood meal is always accompanied by delicious sourdough bread and butter. I have had the good fortune to work with the Giraudo Family, with the Boudin Bakery in San Francisco for five decades. This family business believes in hard work, dedication to excellence and pride in producing their bread. A bowl of our Boston clam chowder, Boudin sourdough bread, and sweet butter can’t be beaten!

Pucci Seafoods is the premier wholesale distributor of fresh seafood in the San Francisco Bay Area. Owned by first the Pucci family and now the Lam family, this local company has worked with me for over 50 years providing fresh and sustainable seafood to my restaurants. Not only is it the freshest, but it is also the highest quality seafood available to meet our exacting standards.

T. Gary Rodgers and W.F. “Rick” Cronk with Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream provided the original double-cream French vanilla ice cream we use to make our signature dessert – the Raspberry Jack. Topped with fresh whipped cream and a sprig of fresh mint it’s one of my favorites.

Very dear to me, and equally as important, is the relationship I have with the Vukasin Family, owners of Peerless Coffee & Tea in Oakland.  I’ve worked with three generations of this beautiful family over the past 50 years. My good friend George Vukasin’s legacy continues through his children and is evident through their commitment to quality and excellence. A fine dining experience is incomplete without a cup of coffee from Peerless Coffee.

Through my relationships with these loyal and time-tested businesses, we will provide an exceptional dining experience to you when we reopen our doors. As always, we look forward to seeing you soon!
